Senior Claims Advisor – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Join our Workers Compensation Claims team as a Senior Claims Advisor on a 12-month contract, where you’ll play a key role in managing complex claims and delivering meaningful outcomes for customers when they need us most. Working as part of our General Insurance Complex Claims team, you'll bring technical expertise, sound judgement, and a customer-first approach to every decision you make.

This is an opportunity to influence claims excellence beyond your own portfolio. You’ll help drive technical capability across the team, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with a broad network of stakeholders as we continue to enhance our claims experience and strengthen our position as a leading digital insure

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Managing a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims, including complex matters from notification through to resolution
• Providing technical guidance and acting as a senior referral point within the Workers Compensation team
• Partnering with legal and rehabilitation providers to achieve the best claims outcomes
• Supporting injured workers, customers, brokers, and employers to facilitate successful return to work outcomes
• Ensuring claims activities comply with governance, regulatory, and quality requirements
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while contributing to strategic initiatives

You are a collaborative and customer-focused professional who combines technical expertise with empathy, accountability, and commercial thinking. You build trusted relationships, bring a calm and solutions-focused approach to challenges, and enjoy helping others grow and succeed.

To be successful, you will have the following:

• Significant experience managing Workers Compensation claims, ideally within the WA market
• Strong technical claims capability with experience handling complex or litigated claims
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience providing advice, coaching, or mentoring to colleagues
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse audiences
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound and timely decisions
• A solid understanding of governance, risk management, and claims operating practices
